Singer, song writer and guitar player: Thao Nguyen makes absorbing music.
She raised in Falls Church, Virginia and is of Vietnamese origin. She often practiced her songs while working at her mother's laundromat.

Referring to the beginnings of her band “Get down Stay down” they say on their website : “We got in a van together and stopped every night in different places. We got out, played music (often for real live people) and then got back in and rambled to the next town.”

Currently, they tour with Anaïs Mitchell. Here are their next tour dates:
