At the airport Ha Noi – Noi Bai, there will be restrictions in flight operations from August on. Reasons for this are urgently needed repairs to one of the two start and runways, which are expected to go on until November. The railway 1A was built in 1966 and last repaired in 1976 and equipped with a 22 cm thick concrete layer. The past year the Noi Bai International Airport handled over 13 million passengers. Due to the limited capacity only up to 25 flights per hour are possible with only one start and runway but which is no longer feasible. So many airlines will have to move their flights to the light traffic night hours. Currently there is a new terminal under construction which is to be completed by october this year.
