Halong Bay, the name Ha Long means, where “the dragon descends into the sea.” The wonderful Halong Bay, is one of the natural wonders of Vietnam and you can explore all this comfortably with numerous trip boats. On our excursion we had unfortunately bad weather, finest drizzle and thick clouds were there, the whole day long. But in spite of it, we were fascinating by this bizarre landscape. In addition there are also innumerable caves and grottos. We visited the Hang Dau Go grotto with its 3 enormous cathedral-like areas and the Thien Cung caves, they are wonderful multicoloured illuminated. We had made a 2-day Trip from Hanoi and had stayed overnight in Halong city. It is a great tourist town with all tourist facilities and entertainments you like. We did not like it and therefore a daily trip to the beautiful Halong Bay would have been enough. Vivien’s und Erhard’s Blog
